Umm, Shelby . . . Im sitting right here.

  • TomW 08/08/2011 20:22:45

Great job 5:30 afternoon class! Lots of people getting after it today in the heat!

  • PaShunD 08/08/2011 18:53:48

Andy your awesomeness knows no bounds XXX!

  • TanyaS 08/08/2011 18:37:19

Pete, i did not clog the ladys room. I am an at home take care of business kinda gal. It must have been one of my sisters in arms that needed it. ladies dont usually share that info...so you will never know.

Andy, most rightous interview! Its great to learn about your journey, you are doing SUPERB!! keep it up!!

  • ShelbyB 08/08/2011 18:28:36

OK so im just going to say it---will someone please marry Andy Luten?!?!
@Andy- that was the best, most witty, truly inspiring testimonial I have ever read. Thank you for your honesty, humor, and encouragement. I am so proud to know you. You are a heck of a catch!

  • MattO 08/08/2011 17:50:07

Congrats Andy! Great story, inspiring and a pleasure to read your Q&A. That said, I must take a minute to address "your knees hurting" comment as its gives me an opportunity to say something I hope people will pay attention to: NEVER LET YOUR FORM SUFFER FOR SPEED DURING A WOD, PERIOD! Practice your form in warmups as required and apply it to the WODs! Youll get stronger with time and speed will come naturally. The downside of rushing a workout and not using correct form = SERIOUS injury, the downside of being slower but using good form = YOULL GET STRONGER! Isnt that why were here?

  • PeterS 08/08/2011 17:41:41

@Tanya - Hahaha yes. 300M into the warmup row I knew I need to take care of business before starting the real Butt Blaster. I am curious though, why the plunger was in the girls bathroom. Some cloggage over there from time to time, eh?

Andy - you are a baller no doubt. You are my Double Under inspiration. One day I will be able to stop doing 3:1 singles....one day.

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 16:19:50

but Andy has leaned out significantly in the last few months...Good job bud!

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 16:14:06

I would like to point out that I made the newsletter as well...and they used fat pictures of both me and Andy...

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 16:12:08

    @Greg Andys Bio http://www.crossfitstrong.com/newsletter/AndyLuten.html

  • JoshuaL 08/08/2011 15:49:25

Turtle heads... Well, there ya go. =P

  • GregAnd 08/08/2011 15:42:50

Thanks for the welcome Paul. Where is Andys bio posted, I dont see it?

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 15:39:19

Strangest thing I ever heard at the Box --"at least you didnt have a turtle head poking out during the WOD! And you were kind enough to unplug it!"--TanyaS

@Pete...According to Tanya, I owe you thanks for unplugging your turtle head...Way to go!

  • TanyaS 08/08/2011 15:34:33

Pete, so sorry about your bathroom incident...at least you didnt have a turtle head poking out during the WOD! And you were kind enough to unplug it!

  • allenwhite 08/08/2011 15:00:32

no offense to any of the other winners (except maybe charlie and mal, j/k), but you are one of the most deserving winners of the monthly award andy!

physically, i think your story is one of the most encourging to see someone come so far so quickly.
mentally, i loved reading your story. i dont know you that well, but you have always come across as a superconfident, incredibly likable guy to me. i am sorry that you have struggled with confidence, but glad it wont be much of an issue for you goinG forward!

i hope you guys are ahead of plan for software inplementation YTD...

  • JonathanP 08/08/2011 14:48:43

In honor of Peters story, I would like to let everyone in on Petes nickname = Scheter POOmaker. Tomorrows WOD name should have something to do with this.

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 14:03:35

@Kitty...Zing! BTW, tell Cody I am working on some W30 muffins so he can complete the Muffin Challenge...It takes a long time to shape ground meat into muffin shapes...I might need some help...

  • KatherineM 08/08/2011 13:56:06

Peter, thats what happens when you follow Codys Muffin Diet.

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 13:55:19

@Andy...I have my moments...But seriously, thanks for the encouragement this morning!

BTW, good job on your interview questions...

@Pete...I guess I stand corrected...After that story, you are WODs namesake...

  • AndyL 08/08/2011 13:46:52

Pete, thats a lot of information. And Ryan, I spat a lot of water on my keyboard from laughing so suddenly.

  • PeterS 08/08/2011 13:39:29

Ohhhhh shiz. You just going to sit and take that Andy?

I think the name of this WOD is also ironic as I promptly clogged the mens toilet this morning after coming in a couple minutes late to the 630 class. Missed like half the warmup. Well I guess you could aruge clogging the toilet was sort of a warump. Ok Ill stop. Thanks for getting the plunger out of the Womens bathrooom Cat. That wasnt super embarrassing or anything.

Sorry if TMI. Couldnt help myself.

    Have a good day all!

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 13:26:05

Reading Andys athlete of the month bio made me want to work out again...but then I remembered Andy told me the RXd weight was easy and I could do it, and now I cant walk...So sore already....Thanks for the support Andy!

Isnt it funny how Andys bio came out on the day we did a workout named after his nickname at A&M?...haha

  • SharlaG 08/08/2011 12:47:30

Thanks Paul! You were kickin it too! Yes, I just LOVE me some lunges! ha!ha! I guess it is one of the few things I can do o.k around this place:-) Was a great workout! Im sure Ill not be so happy tomorrow when I cant sit down without pain, however! Great job to the huge 5:30 class this a.m.

  • allenwhite 08/08/2011 12:41:42

    Thanks for the help Neal.

Kyle, can you do this one sub 3:00?

  • AndyL 08/08/2011 12:05:09

Kitty, throw a ball to Cody tomorrow and Ill tackle him for you, itll take you back.

  • KatherineM 08/08/2011 11:58:09

Jon, thats awesome - takes a lot of commitment and practice. Way to rep Strong too! When do you hear back? I miss watching Cody play :)

  • PaulF 08/08/2011 10:46:40

Shout out to Sharla, you were quick this morning. I forgot how much you like lunges! :)
And welcome Greg from endurance. Sorry there were no 400m runs in between, but that time will come. Good job one your first WOD.

  • RyanC 08/08/2011 10:37:29

Who raised all the curbs and stairs?

  • AndyL 08/08/2011 10:37:20

Always good to see Neal that early in the morning. My knees a little sore from this, which means I didnt maintain good form throughout the lunge. Pay attention to your lunge form!

  • MylienN 08/08/2011 10:25:30

Impressive time Cody.. whatever it is :)
