    and I dont know what Marla is talking about( I know she is an endurance coach and runs like 5 times a week and teaches classes on it)- BUT it felt like every step of an 800 to me....i was dead by the end!!!

    And P.S.S. to Becca and Gale - nice running form in the pic. Gale is just starting his rotation and Becca is finishing her pull-through and about to step it out again. But enough about the form...how are your 800 meter repeats? Marla says they are a little "short!" : )

    @ Gale - Outside of the extra math involved in this WOD (which is a huge problem for me), I really liked it!

    @ Marla - Its not often that I get to workout when you are coaching me, and I really like the hollering in my ear (and Im being dead serious....like dead-lift serious). Thank you my buddy Marla!

    @ Maria & Becky - great job and enjoyed getting to workout with you. Keep up the good work, ladies!

    @ Becca - I dont know what you have against the deadlift, but well just make a deal now.....if we ever get the chance to workout together in a team setting, Ill take the deadlifts and you take the muscle ups, ok?

    @ Kat - I think his name is Kyle Whogan, not Horgan....last time I checked.

    @ any of my "tinkle toes ladies" out there (and you know who you are) we can add "heavy deadlifts" to our list of things that makes you go "hmmm......"

    @ anyone who hasnt been motivated to get to the box lately (and you know who you are) I just have to say that tonight I came into the gym with a tired brain, sore shoulders and not an extraordinary amount of motivation, but after watching the 5:30 class, stretching out the sore points and chatting with friends, I got an extra surge of energy to participate in 6:30 and after it was all said and done, I feel 110% better! Thanks 6:30 class!

    Great WOD! Really liked the skills session after the WOD. We should do that more often.

    And on a side note... Anyone have any tips on doing rope ascents without getting rope burn on the shins?

    Jake, sacrificing a piece of my manhood is something I was willing to do for the team at the time. Good thing too, because if I hadnt done that, and I had still been the featured athlete in the 2011 promo, womens heads all around the world might have exploded, a la the FemBots in Austin Powers. Now that theyve all received a taste of Shirtless Kyle, theyll be ready for the real thing: Hairy-Chested Shirtless Kyle. I just want to say sorry to the ladies of CFS who no longer have me to themselves. Like a once-caged bird, its time for me to spread my wings and fly!

    Lots of rowers today, and lots of people pulling some massive weight on the DLs, good job 630am!

    That row was tough, especially about 200m in when you start to see that pace estimator start creeping up.

    I dont know about the pink shorts, glasses and shaved chest, but I watched those deadlifts live on the computer and it was ridiculous seeing you manhandle that weight. Definitely worthy of being in that video (maybe with some photoshopped hair).

    You know, I always heard that some famous peoples friends turned on them after they gained their worldwide renown, but I thought the cfs family would be different... Mike, you only have yourself, Landan and gale (along with the traveling girls) to thank for this. If you all hadnt pressured me into shaving my chest, I never would have looked like a true representation of crossfit, and who knows maybe they would have still wanted the pink shorts on the promo and you might have got your 15 minutes. As it stands, I think I just got myself a little bargaining power with lulu if they want a Dallas "household crossfit name" to represent their brand with some shwag.

    Im not gonna do.... what you all think Im gonna do.... and just freak out.... But did anyone else notice that the only "single shots" of males in this video were Chris Spealler, Graham Holmberg, Rob Orlando (the pullups on Super Helen) and Kyle Horgan? Not sure what this means in the greater scheme of things, but whether I am competing in the Games this year or not, I will be in California, my head will be shaved, my orange sunglasses will be donned, and Ill do what I should have done last year, and walk around shirtless with my phone number on my chest, back and one healthy calf (the ruptured achilles doesnt really count as a legitimate "calf" quite yet). You may laugh at me, but Ive got to do something to take advantage of this pub.
