Mercy Wine Bar Celebrates 10 Years
May 11 event will mark anniversary with live music and great wine.
ADDISON, TEXAS – Mercy Wine Bar opened its doors 10 years ago with the ambitious goal of offering great wines by the glass without having to purchase an entire bottle. With its Old World ambiance, exceptional service, great food and – of course – fantastic wine selection, Mercy has made a name for itself on both a regional and national level, including being named the No. 1 wine bar in the country by Nightclub and Bar Magazine.
On Saturday, May 11, Mercy will celebrate its first decade in business with a party from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.Proceeds from the evening will go to Living for Zachary, a non profit charitable organization in Plano, Texas. Living for Zachary is dedicated to raising awareness of sudden cardiac arrest in youth and saving lives through community education and awareness events, promoting youth heart screenings, awarding student scholarships and donating automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to organizations in need.
“We want this night to be about everything that Mercy has become in the past 10 years,” says owner Glen Agritelley. “This is a time for us to show our appreciation for the patrons we’ve gained through the years, and share our excitement about what is yet to come.”
The evening will include live music from the acts who regularly play at Mercy, including: Brown and Wild Reister, Orlando Salinas Band, David Gallegos Band, Hard Nights Day Acoustic Duo, Marcelo Berestovoy Trio, The Brehms, and Michael Stacy and Flamenco y Mas.
“After 10 years, our vision for Mercy remains the same,” Agritelley says. “And that is to share a memorable experience with our guests that is built around wine and food. We are so grateful for the years that we have already enjoyed here, and we look forward to what is yet to come.”
