So Long Lurong...Kinda

So people ask how I survived 9 weeks with no cheats....and all I can say is ACCOUNTABILITY.

I am a severely driven, determined, control freak, most competitive with myself, self proclaimed WOO (Winning Others Over-Thanks Stengths Finder Test). So to surround myself with friends, family, coworkers, and my FamUhLee all cheering me on and spurring me towards success...equated to just that. Success.

While I came into this challenge with the mindset of an eventual cheat for a music festival here, a wedding there or a few occassional birthday celebreations, my mindset switched when I coasted through each event, realizing I didnt need, or really even want, those "cheats".

Continuing to educate myself in the what and why of whats going into my body has proven to feed my continued passion for a wholistic lifestyle. And the results didnt hurt either.

So my results?
What I lost: 21 more pounds, a little over 18 inches, a few pant sizes, dress sizes, and the desire for breads and sugar.
What I gained: self discipline, speed in my WODS, and an ever changing body shape and size.
I also shaved anywhere from 2-4 minutes off the benchmark WODs.

So what next? My hope and prayer is that I can continue to be spurred forward on this desire for a lifestyle and I think I can. Does that mean perfection? Heck no. Im human, thanks. BUT it does mean I need continued support, cheering and accountability from everyone around me, including my FamUhLee. I want to make you guys proud. I want to make myself proud. And I want to continue to see this change in me, both physically and mentally.

So thanks and so long to Lurong...hello to continued success and gratitude to my new life and everyone in it...oh and maybe a lil dessert at Thanksgiving.

I must say that I am very happy for you and proud of your accomplishments. Believe me, I know that it was a challenge. Everytime I saw your name at the top of that leaderboard, I was inspired to go another day. Accoutability is so real. Seeing you stay and do extra work after the wods is quite encourging, too. Thank you for being an inspirational part of our box. You are all that girl!!!

Thank you for taking the time to write this up.

On behalf of all CFS Lurong-ers I can honestly say we felt a great deal of pride in our community logging in each day seeing you guys up at the top with a big ZERO!

It takes an unbelievable amount of resolve to even put your name on the list for something like this.

Staying Rx in the workouts meant inviting quite a bit of punishment.

I am really enjoying seeing how phenomenal everyone's results were.

Thank you all, and continue posting your inspiring stories here!
