EATING ON THE GO

Eating on the go?

We are all on the go, running from place to place… it is hard to plan and can be harder to make good food choices.  So, what to do? 

If you are out –

You can find good options at nearly every restaurant.  Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want, even if it’s not on the menu exactly how you want it.  Mix and match from different items to get what you need…I have never been refused one of many request to alter what was being offered on a menu in order to accommodate my nutritional needs. 

Plan ahead –

Make extra at dinner for a fast meal on the run the next day (or following day). If you have kids, pack yourself lunch when you make theirs. Buy precooked sausage or organic deli meats to have on hand.  Make a lettuce wrap with the protein of your choice and avocado.
