Endurance Race Results

A big pat on the back (and a pair of dry socks) to our awesome Endurance runners who gutted it out through the rain and wind (both of which were cold) on Sunday at the Heels and Hills 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon.   I would say that Strong Endurance dominated....check out these results!

Half Marathon - Danika "packing heat" Boyst  - ran her FIRST half marathon in HORRIBLE weather conditions.   2:03:16 / 9:25 pace / 6th in her age group.

10K Results -
Marla "I can beat Gale running" Maupin - 1st in her age group and 15th overall in the entire field of 386 10K runners.   46:15 / 7:28 pace.
Alisha "5 finger shoes" Seynour - 3rd in her age group.   54:04 / 8:43 pace.
Lauren "dont put baby in the corner" Gaudielle - 5th in her age group.   54:57 / 8:52 pace.
Candice "always got a smile" Carr - 13th in her age group.   58:37 / 9:27 pace.
Beth "Im wearing Maxies race number" Dressen - 5th in her age group.   56:36 / 9:08 pace.
Mylien "more than just a cake ball maker" Nguyen - 15th in her age group 1:04:10 / 10:21 pace.

5k Results
David "big guys can do pull ups too" Hastings - 2nd in his age group.   24:32 / 7:55 pace. 
Greg "were gonna twist his arm and hell be Crossfitting soon" Anderson - 1st in his age group.  23:40 / 7:38 pace.  
Jacob "gonna beat my dad" Anderson - AGE 14 - 1st in his age group.   22:56 / 7:23 pace.
Max "gonna follow in brother and dads footsteps" Anderson - AGE 12 - 1st in his age group.  31:50 / 10:16 pace.
Steve "tennis is just my day job" Maupin - 1st in his age group.   31:12 / 10:04 pace.

Great, great job runners!   Many of you have heard both Marla and I say it before...you cant control the weather on race day!   Once again, Mother Nature continues to test our resolve on Endurance race days!

For those of you who are on the Endurance fringe, but thinking about how you can improve your run times - 400 meters to Marathon - what are you waiting for?    Email run@crossfitstrong.com if you are interested in joining Endurance.  If anyone has a fall marathon or half marathon goal, the time to start training is right now!    If you want to improve your run-time during the WODs, the time to start training is right now!

    WOW!!! seeing all your results makes me want to do endurance again!!! The weather is something to think about but being with all you great people and having two AMAZING coaches is very, very tempting.  great job y'all!!! way to represent:)

    I second Marla's comment, thanks Cat for your support out on the course!  I pretty much ignored you as I was running by but it's just because my concentration was elsewhere...I most definitely heard you and very much appreciated the cheering and encouragement.

    Huge shout out to Coach Cat who braved the ridiculous weather and came out to cheer everyone on. It was nice hearing a familiar voice as hard rain was pounding our faces!!
